Catching Butterflies

Hello Crafting friends, followers and all of you who stop by to leave comments.  Thank you for taking the time out of your busy day.

I have sort of hit a snag in creating anything, the noise, smell and dust of having the wood floors installed has finally chased me out of the house.  After two days I just could not take anymore and then when they said they would have to seal off the craft area and upstairs I thought ok, enough is enough.  It will only get worse for five more days and then it will be done.

Another strange thing happened yesterday a few months ago I purchased a Spellbinder Grand Calibur because you can use a 8 ½” X 11” paper through it.  Well, right from the start is had some part loose and it rattled every time you moved it.  I ordered it online so I did not have a way of shipping it back.  Finally other things starting breaking inside of it and it really rattled, until sadly the entire handle just popped and that was it.

Materials:
Poppy Stamps Picket Fence, Curious Cat & Sitting Cat
Memory Box Grand Oak Tree, Vintage Bicycle, Lavish Branch, Adorable Posies & Puffy Clouds
Martha Stewart Grass Punch

  1. Dianne contact Spellbinders direct they will tell you what to do about your Grand Calibur. Here in the UK we have had the same problems and they seem to sort them all out from what I gather.
Your card is wonderful I love how you create these scenes they are always amazing.

  3. Diane, love your fresh, spring like card! So many cute elements to create a wonderful scene!
You're going to love the floors once all is said and done even though it is a hassle right now.
Maybe you should write Spellbinder and see what they can do about the Grand Calibur. Surely they'll be able to help out in some way.

I do hope you get your Calibr sorted soon. If it is only a few months old it should be under guarantee. I should contact their customer services and they should pick it up.

  11. Always love the way you combine all the different dies to create something so wonderfully gorgeous. Sorry to hear about the GC, but I'd let S/Binders know. I had a similar problem with the Sizzix electric Big Shot. Wrote an email, asking a question about the problem, not really expecting anything. THey replied it was a known problem, offered me a Vagabond to replace the EBS, as they no longer manufacture that machine. I expect S/Binders has just as good a customer service program. Good luck. Good luck with the new floors too. Remodeling is much worse than building a house! Take care. TFS

  12. Beautiful card Diane. Your little kitty will be kept plenty busy with all the butterflies. I agree, contact customer service with Spellbinders. Hopefully they will make it right. I'm sure your's isn't the only one that has had a problem. I think they are a good company. If they are they will have good customer service.

  13. Sorry to hear about your grand calibur. I ordered mine on line too. Did you register the guarantee because if you did you will be covered for a replacement machine. Hope you can get it sorted. I love using mine. I had a second hand big shot before and the handle flew of that one in the end too but I had good use out of it.
I love this card . You are so clever at making these scenery style cards. hugs Mrs A.
