Over The Bridge

For those that stop by my blog you probably know I enjoy whimsical designs.  I don't stamp and just the thought of coloring gives me the vapors.   Today's post started out with the idea of could I create a bridge using the dies I have.  I started first by die cutting the 3¾″ circle which I then embossed using a brick pattern.  Next I used the 3¼″ circle and cut out the arch.  After trimming the wrought iron fence I attached to the top of bridge and added the trees and houses.  I added the big splash border under the bridge and the trailing vine on the right side and honeyblossom sprig to the left.

A big thanks to all my new blog friends and everyone that has time to stop by for a visit.

Materials:Spellbinders Nestabilities Standard Circles Large
Memory Box - Big Splash Border, Country House, Petal Party, Honeyblossom Sprig, Wrought Iron Fence & Puffy Clouds
Poppystamps -Brevilla Houses, Viva Tree, Berry Sprig & Trailing Vine

  1. Diane, this is awesome work with the dies and embossing. Wow! What a pretty scene. Gosh, I didn't realize you didn't stamp. Guess I just thought you liked dies better. Plus, you use them so well.

  5. Hello Diane, another wonderful scene card. Love all the wonderful detail you manage to get into your creations.
Now I for one used to feel "exactly" like you but have managed to pull myself "kicking and screaming" out my comfort zone. Never thought I could but I have done some stamping. Might even take the plunge and do "colouring" ....... don't hold your breath on that one though........LOL!!
    Happy crafting

  17. Thanks for explaining how you did the arch. How imaginative you are when it comes to the use of these dies. This scene is lovely, with all the different dies - variations in the colors, and the composition reminds me of an Oriental painting. Beautiful. If I could use dies this way, I wouldn't care if I didn't stamp!! TFS & Hugs

  29. Hi Diane! I just wanted to stop by and say hi and thank you for the sweet comment you left on my blog about my friend's baseball card in a box. I popped over here to your blog and am blown away by your creativity! This lovely scene is amazing. I called my 11 year old daughter over to the computer to see this and she was as enthralled as I was. I will definitely be following your blog so I can see what you create next. I have lots of punches but definitely don't use them to their advantage after seeing your work!

Have a wonderful day and thanks again! *Ü*
