Singing In The Rain

Greetings fellow crafters, since the past few fantasy cards have displayed the ladies I figured I had to sneak in a masculine design.

To achieve the shadowing effect you need to die cut the  Gentleman Leaping on the white paper and also the umbrella that way when they are attached to the black background paper it shows a slight shadow.  Then when attaching the man slightly  offset him so the black cardstock shows behind him.  Double up on the white umbrella to give it more depth.  I used an x-acto knife and scissors for the rain drops which I don't think turned out that great.

Materials:
Memory Box Gentleman Leaping & Petite Umbrella

  6. Awesome. I can just see Gene Kelly dancing in this card. You've got that offset so perfectly...& for what it's worth, your raindrops are fab too. It's the illusion of the rain, and you've achieved that. Great card, and I'm really enjoying your fantasy series! What an imagination you have. TFS & Happy Mom's Day.

  25. This is very cool! I'm humming "Singin' in the Rain" as I type. I wonder if you cut the raindrops in the other direction (attached at the skinny top and detached at the bottom) if they would look more "blobby?"
